Lancaster, Ohio has so much to offer
Lancaster, Ohio is a wonderful city located about 40 minutes south-east of Columbus, Ohio. Founded in 1900, it's has so many areas to see and explore.
There are a few of us on the Diehard Local team that went to Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. When coming from the Columbus and Cleveland area, Lancaster is on the way. Prior to the mid-2000's, you had to drive through the city via US 33. That is no longer the case now. Never-the-less, we've been to Lancaster many times and have enjoyed our time there.
Here are a few of the many thing we have enjoyed and experienced in Lancaster:
- The historical downtown area - we recommend trying Ale House
- The River Valley Mall - it contains several different popular retail stores, Auntie Anne's and a movie theater
- Roosters - They have great food and wings
- Nancy's Scoops - everything you would want in an ice cream shop (they have great food too)
